Free Museum District Day - Houston

I was told by my trusted source know by the handle P.C. that on September 12th in Houston, TX there will be free admission to several museums! The following is the information I recieved via e-mail including a link with additional information and the map showing the route for the shuttle and the 17 museum's participating that day.

Get ready to enjoy a free day in the Houston Museum District (HMD) on Saturday, September 12 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Board a free shuttle bus and spend the entire day exploring favorite museums and discovering new destinations. Museum District Day will feature fascinating exhibitions, hands-on activities, demonstrations and performances throughout the day. Seventeen museums will waive their general admission fee to offer the community the opportunity to enjoy the District’s diverse displays of art, science, nature and history.

Go here for more information.

This looks like a lot of fun and a great opportunity to visit the different museum's without any out of pocket expense. Pack a lunch and have a picnic in the park that day and make a day of it!
